Video recording stops at 29 minutes

The Aurora, Aurora Sport and Aurora Black cameras are limited to a maximum of ~29 minutes duration for each recorded video file.

This is both to limit large video file sizes, and to keep end user cost down - in response to European regulations that impose significant duties based upon digital camera features and capabilities.

Longer duration recordings can be achieved using the Timelapse function (up to 60 photos per hour, for up to 24 hours, which will then be converted to video).

In contrast, the Aurora PRO can record many hours of video with a sufficiently large SD card installed.
An SD card with a minimum V30 write speed should be used. It is recommended to format a large capacity SD card (e.g. 256 GB) in a computer first - as exFAT format. You should then be able to record video long past the 29 minute constraint of other cameras in the Aurora line.

Operation of the camera for more than about 2 hours will require a fully charged Aurora battery and the USB cable to be connected between the camera and a source of USB power - which will trickle-charge the internal battery.

Please note that recording will stop automatically well before the card reaches 100% capacity, to prevent loss of data when file write is completed after the recording ends.
